This webinar, part 1 of a 2-part series, covers the logical part of the wire harness design process. At the end of the design flow of the logical part we use the topology and wiring path to assign wires and cables to a harness.

At the beginning of the engineering process, we develop a system using functions and signals. With the information from the functional design, next we create a wiring diagram. Assigning components to the functions will lead to specific connection types. Additional we will import information from a PCB layout for further use. Using plugs and mating connectors as complex components with many additional parts and a wide range of crimp parts. Selecting Crimp parts according to the wire cross section. At the end of the design flow of the logical part we use the topology and wiring path to assign wires and cables to a harness.
